Q: What should I be able to do when I come to the first day of class?
- Identify all of the continents, oceans and countries of the world, except the islands of Oceania and the Caribbean – do not worry about these! Use www.lizardpoint.com/geography or http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm to study.
- This is a foundational skill that will lay the groundwork for the entire course. It’s important that you are able to reference specific countries in order to connect its geography to your background knowledge.
- We will take a map quiz over 50 countries in the first week of school. Map quizzes will be a weekly component of course work.

Explanation- This is not meant to be challenging nor time consuming work. What I will say is I firmly believe that what we will do over the next two weeks will be very helpful life skills for you not only for the rest of high school but beyond. You will get out of it what you put in. If you do nothing, you wont grow. If you choose to really think about your habits and actions it could be really beneficial.

5/19- Day 170: Read chapter 3 "Stress Yourself" and Chapter 7 "Minimalist to be a Maximalist"- This is literally one of the two best books I have ever read! Take it seriously you'll love it.

4/28- Day 155: Population Review Using APHG Motherload Review Packet (pages 7-17)
Directions: Get Several sheets of lined paper- Fold then in Half "Hot Dog" Style
1. Left hand side label- "I got this"
2. Right hand side label- "Um still not sure"
3. Go through pages 7-17 and record the information in the appropriate columns
4. Once you have finished the population unit (page 17) Go BACK through your "um still not sure" column and compile that information into 1-2 pages.
5. Study those 1-2 Pages and over the next several days be able to cut that down to one page of into that you still aren't sure of. This will become your "Population Unit Rescue page" that you can turn to if you have absolutely no idea about something population related.
